Job Description:

Job Description / Accountabilities:

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager Finance, GI Business Support and will accomplish a variety of tasks mostly related to planning, forecasting, management reporting and performance measurement for TD General Insurance.

Key Activities

  • Participate in the planning, forecasting and monthly outlook processes for TD General Insurance; work closely with business partners to review assumptions and identify trends.

  • Support the preparation of monthly management reports and metrics summary, with emphasis on report adaptation, automation and documentation based on changing needs and priorities.

  • Collaborate with other finance groups within TD Bank to ensure accuracy of financial information.

  • Work closely with internal business partners to provide support and insights on business drivers.

  • Participate in business initiatives to evaluate and recommend solutions to financial and operational issues.

  • Conduct peer benchmarking analysis

  • Continuously improve processes and documentation while ensuring compliance to internal policies and best practices

  • Encourage a positive and supportive working culture to facilitate personal and professional development for all team members

Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • A CPA designation (an asset) with a minimum of 5 years of experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView (an asset)

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify key trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively to meet tight timelines.

  • Ability to write clear and concise communications and present information in a professional and diplomatic manner.

  • Candidate needs to be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where every day is different!
