The Client envisions a senior business analyst who combines
traditional business analysis practices (identifying and formalizing needs and
requirements, process modeling, end-to-end traceability, and testing strategy)
with an understanding of the corporate finance field and its associated risk
models.
The Risk Model Review project is a major, multi-year
undertaking. Recurring themes include numerous interdependencies, a very large
number of stakeholders, uncertainty and ambiguity, and the need for leadership
and influence with senior management.
Therefore, the true priority is not simply document
mechanics, but the ability to navigate a complex environment and arbitrate
between multiple interests. The ideal candidate understands and uses corporate
finance risk models, but is not the quantitative modeler who develops them.
Three profiles should not be confused with this role: the functional or IT
systems analyst (the position is a business analyst), the project manager or
PMO (the candidate masters the methodologies but does not lead the project), and
the risk modeler or quantitative analyst (the candidate uses the models, he
does not develop them).
Requirements
REQUIRED
- Senior experience in business analysis (needs, requirements,
end-to-end traceability, business process modeling)
- Knowledge of business financing (corporate financing)
- Advanced mastery of project management methodologies (Agile,
Hybrid, Waterfall)
- Advanced mastery of JIRA and Confluence
DESIRED
- Knowledge of risk management tools
- Knowledge of process analysis and improvement
- Contribution to testing strategies and the acceptance
testing plan
- Contribution to change management activities
ASSET
- Previous experience at client or a comparable financial institution
- Experience on large-scale, multi-year projects
Note: The different methodologies (Agile,
Hybrid, Waterfall) are considered a list of examples. Requiring all three at an
advanced level would unnecessarily restrict the candidate pool, as Hybrid
already encompasses elements of both Agile and Waterfall.
