As a Senior Advisor, IT Supplier Management, you help optimize performance and monitor compliance with agreements that the organization has with its major IT suppliers. By joining the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), you’ll contribute to strategic initiatives with suppliers that have a cross-sector scope across Desjardins. You take on a leadership role to coordinate and manage agreements with IT suppliers for strategic and complex activities. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of the technology ecosystem at Desjardins. You make recommendations on positioning and decisions related to highly complex projects and initiatives. You use your analytical skills and detailed, comprehensive understanding of your line of business and organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with many stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Help the Chief Information Officer’s teams define and monitor targets, and identify opportunities to improve agreements with IT suppliers
  • Assume a leadership and coaching role with other supplier management advisors among IT officers
  • Lead, coordinate or conduct governance activities of IT suppliers
  • Establish and maintain constructive relationships with all collaborators, taking into account their needs, objectives, deadlines and issues
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for your unit, for supplier and IT asset management sectors and for other departments involved in specific topics
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided by suppliers and work with the team to improve processes and monitoring activities
  • Present results to the officers and managers responsible for audited activities

What you bring to the table 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least three years in an advisory role
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in IT supplier management and supplier governance
  • Experience in enhancing and improving IT processes
  • Experience in change management or corporate communications
  • Experience in complex environments requiring strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • SAM or IAITAM training or certification 
  • ITIL Foundation training
  • Connaissance du français nécessaire
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools
