Job Description

The person is responsible for the operational execution of procurement activities, transportation logistics and the day-to-day management of suppliers, in line with the directions, priorities and frameworks established by management. Acts as a point of contact between production, suppliers and internal stakeholders and actively contributes to the stability and fluidity of operations.

Procurement and Logistics

  • Plan supplies according to production schedule, priorities and inventory.
  • Issue orders and follow up on confirmations and deadlines, then ensure reminders.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics, including documentation and incident resolution.
  • Monitor the inventory, and trigger actions to avoid shortages and surpluses.
  • Escalate critical procurement and logistics issues to relevant stakeholders.

Supplier management

  • Be the primary point of contact for suppliers in day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and document deviations.
  • Manage supplier issues and organize corrective actions with internal teams.
  • Identify supply risks and propose mitigation solutions.
  • Participate in supplier reviews and suggest improvements or arbitrations.

Operational coordination and production support

  • Serve as the main point of contact for production with internal stakeholders.
  • Address priority business requests and ensure business continuity.
  • Inform the Director of critical or exceptional situations and ensure their follow-up.
  • Ensure clear and collaborative communication to align needs and priorities across teams.
  • Find solutions in the event of a supply problem and document the issues.

Continuous Improvement, Compliance and Data

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Properly use existing systems and maintain reliable and up-to-date data.
  • Track and communicate indicators to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to control and traceability activities and propose standardizations when required.

Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in supply management and vendor management
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Autonomy and resourcefulness are key qualities sought
  • Strong problem-solving skills
