Location: Louisville KY, Montreal CA, and New Jersey (Hybrid)


In this position, you’ll be based in the Montreal, Calgary, CA or Louisville KY office locations for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. This role has in-office operational requirements and so we’re unable to consider employees who wish to continue an existing, fully remote working arrangement.

Computershare is looking for someone who is looking for a technical position to join our growing team at Global Core Operations Team as a Plans Specialist.

The Plans Specialist role operates within this division at a regional level and must perform their tasks within defined service delivery guidelines. The guidelines include successful delivery within agreed timeframes and quality standards. 

The Plans Specialist is also expected to work collaboratively across teams both within the same department and other internal Computershare partners, supporting continuous improvement and project related activity related to the role.

A role you will love

As a Plans Specialist, you will be responsible for processing Employee Equity Plans transactions for Discretionary and Contributory Employee Plans based upon client requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Employee Plans transactions include Stock Options purchases / sales, related issuances, ESPP Purchases/Allocations, etc.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Process participant/client transactions in support of Employee Plans transactions including but not limited to: 

  • Daily Proof Settlement Processing
  • Disbursement Processing related to manual payments
  • Conversion request
  • Incoming Cash monitoring 
  • Review/Release Client Wires 
  • Process daily reporting and journal entries 
  • Audit various reports and ensure compliance
  • Interact daily with internal departments and Computershare’s business partners
  • Cross-train on other functions 
  • Create and maintain documents

Review/clear exception items related to rejected transactions, out-of-proof conditions, aged cash/share items and client inquiries including but not limited to: 

  • Monitor Issuance Rejects
  • Monitor Daily Disbursement Rejects 
  • End of Day Reconciliation of all Incoming Cash 
  • Research and resolve aged items, partner with Reconciliation team

Work with client management team as needed to determine disposition of any unidentified transactions.

  • Financial Services background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advance level knowledge/use of Microsoft Excel required
  • SQL Experience is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Technical skills
  • General knowledge of the Stock Transfer industry would be an asset

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $44,882.00 - $67,324.00. This base pay range is specific to Louisville Ky and may not be applicable to other locations.
