Co-operators is expanding its financial services presence across Canada, and we are looking for driven, relationship-centric professionals who are eager to build an independent business and have meaningful impact. Whether you have years of experience in financial services or you're just getting started, this opportunity offers the autonomy to build and grow your independent business, with the support of a trusted national brand. 

As a Financial Services Independent Advisor, you'll build long-term relationships with members of your community, helping them and their families achieve financial security at every stage of life. You'll leverage your network, entrepreneurial drive, and consultative approach to grow a client portfolio, providing tailored insurance and wealth solutions aligned to each client's goals. Through consistent engagement and trusted advice, you'll establish yourself as a respected financial services professional in your community. 

This is an independent, business-building opportunity. You will run your own advisory practice as an independent contractor, distributing Co-operators products under the Co-operators brand. 

How You Will Create Impact 
  • Establish yourself as a trusted financial advisor in your community by building strong relationships with clients, understanding their goals, and delivering tailored solutions that meet their unique needs 
  • Build and grow a profitable, sustainable client portfolio through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement 
  • Deliver personalized, advice-based insurance and wealth solutions that drive client confidence, loyalty, and long-term financial security 
  • Act as a visible and professional independent representative of Co-operators, strengthening our reputation and presence in the communities we serve

This Opportunity May Be Right for You If 

We're looking for motivated, relationship-driven individuals who are excited to provide financial security for Canadians and our communities. 

You may be a strong fit if you: 

  • Hold a valid Insurance of person license in Quebec or are willing to obtain it, and meet ongoing licensing and continuing education requirements 
  • Have experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or other advice-based sales environments 
  • Have experience running your own business 
  • Have a background in wealth management, B2B sales, account management, or business development 
  • Have worked in client-facing advisory or relationship-management roles where trust and credibility matter 
  • Are a business owner, entrepreneur, or community-based sales professional who thrives on autonomy and long-term growth 
  • Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written* 
    *Professional working proficiency in French and English languages are required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.

What You Need to Know 
  • This is a client-facing, business development-focused, independent advisory opportunity 
  • You will operate your own business as an independent contractor under the Co-operators brand 
  • Success is built over time through relationship building, portfolio development, and consistent business activity 
  • You will distribute Co-operators products exclusively, in accordance with the terms of your independent contractor agreement 
  • You will be required to complete a comprehensive background check

Compensation Information: 

This opportunity includes a temporary onboarding income guarantee. Compensation then transitions to a commission-based structure, where compensation is directly tied to business performance and results, with uncapped earning potential.
