Our challenge

We are looking for Lead the development of cutting-edge sales technology platforms that enhance front-office operations and drive revenue growth. Manage architectural decisions and coordinate development teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that meet business needs

Additional Information* 

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.  In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON  is CAD $110k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of front-office sales technology platforms. 
  • Drive software architecture decisions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security. 
  • Oversee and guide development teams throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders in Sales and Trading to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Maintain code quality, perform code reviews, and implement best practices in software development.
  • Keep updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Java (17+), Python.
  • Strong expertise in front-end technologies such as Angular and React. 
  • Proven experience in system design and architecture.
  • Deep understanding of Capital Markets, preferably in Equities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Hands-on with Angular/React and solid understanding of system design, architecture, and leading development teams.
    Good exposure to Capital Markets (Equities preferred) with ability to work closely with business stakeholders.
