The International Strategy Development and Newcomers Department is responsible for putting in place the welcome strategy for newcomers to Canada, before and when they arrive. It’s also responsible for promoting partnerships in the immigration ecosystem and supporting Desjardins Business members, in partnership with caisses and Desjardins Business centres. The department works closely with the Business sector to support local entrepreneurs seeking for solutions to the labour shortage. It’s tasked with helping international missions flourish, in collaboration with industry players and employees of the administrative department abroad. It must also define the strategic framework of their international partnerships as well as partnerships abroad. More specifically, you will be required to:

Develop, negotiate and renew sustainable national and international partnerships, and maintain a presence in the immigration ecosystem

Prepare and lead financial literacy conferences

Diagnose issues, challenges, needs and problems for your line of business to determine target outcomes

Develop and help implement objectives, solutions and action plans

Analyze information, conduct studies, formulate and propose recommendations, and draft reports.

What you bring to the table

Bachelor's degree in a related field
-
A minimum of four years of relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Knowledge of French is required
-
Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

Fluency in a third language other than French and English, given our multi-ethnic client base

Knowledge of immigration

Knowledge of the caisse network

Availability to travel throughout the hiring territory (province of Quebec)

Availability to work evenings and weekends from time to time

Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
