As a business account manager, you help maintain business relationships with struggling clients for accounts that have a major impact on the business sector. You balance portfolio profitability with client/partner satisfaction. You serve and maintain personal business relationships with businesses, associations and groups. The ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly understand clients’ expressed needs is therefore essential. You drive results by actively helping your unit achieve its sales and business development objectives. Your complex work and initiatives require extensive knowledge of the organization and your line of business. You advise and serve as specialist to clients. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements in accordance with current processes, standards and directives. You also have opportunities to establish and negotiate product and service terms. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Maintain lasting, personal business relationships with clients to promote services
  • Analyze the files of struggling clients and meet with practitioners to establish a turnaround or collections strategy. Determine a course of action and negotiate terms
  • Manage accounts by serving as the link between clients and the organization and ensuring that clients have the products and services they need, are using them correctly, and are satisfied with them. Identify and analyze member/client needs and recommend strategies and solutions to achieve objectives
  • Prepare integrated service offers that balance member/client satisfaction, profitability and risk. Negotiate terms.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
