Oversees distributed engineering managers and teams across orchestration, resilience, control-plane APIs, public-sector platforms, FedRAMP readiness, AWS GovCloud, and migration tooling. Partners with executives, Product, Security, and Support while scaling the organization, improving operational efficiency, and incorporating AI-enabled engineering workflows.

Principal Engineer responsible for defining the long-term architecture and modernization strategy for GitLab’s Fulfillment platform. The role drives technical direction across entitlements, licensing, provisioning, seat management, usage visibility, and cost management. Responsibilities include hands-on distributed systems engineering, migrations, performance and reliability improvements, cross-team influence, AI-assisted engineering adoption, and mentoring senior technical staff.

Responsibilities include modernizing a monolith, establishing service, API, data, security, testing, and observability standards, guiding Go and Kubernetes practices, supporting Rust adoption, participating in incident response, mentoring engineers, reducing technical debt, and advancing AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Build and maintain Linux distribution packages, container images, CI tooling, and release infrastructure for GitLab. Enable development teams to integrate components through self-service tooling and documentation. Manage cloud marketplace integrations, installation and upgrade processes, dependency security, license compliance, and partner validation. Collaborate with development and security teams while reviewing external dependency and security updates.
