Transaction Services plays a pivotal role in our daily banking services, ensuring our client needs are fully matched to our offerings and delivering exception client satisfaction. ING is a leading provider of daily banking solutions in Europe with the largest geographical presence on the continent.

 

As a Transaction Services (TS) Sales professional, you are responsible for growing the daily banking business and increasing profitability through origination of new mandates within your Wholesale Banking (WB) Corporate client portfolio.. The TS Sales consultant offers the full suite of cash and trade solutions across the ING network, including Payments & Cash Management, Liquidity Management, Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, Bank guarantees and Letters of Credit.

You will be in the frontline of our business, not only as first point of contact to our clients, but also as important sparring partner to our internal stakeholders.

 

Role & Responsibilities

  • You will manage and coordinate a client portfolio, addressing client needs and generating new deals with existing clients, as well as with new clients
  • You will manage end-to-end the pre-lead, pitching and proposal process effectively and efficiently in close cooperation with your colleagues in the deal team across various departments and countries
  • You will negotiate our solutions and pricing agreements with clients by carefully and transparently balancing client expectations, cost of sales and cost of service, within the Risk appetite of ING
  • You will be responsible for improving and maximizing the cross-buy of TS solutions
  • You are a trusted advisor to your (prospect) clients and work closely with key (internal) stakeholders including relationship bankers, TS peers across the network, Structuring & Advisory teams, Client Services and Product management colleagues
  • You will be responsible for operating under our KYC guidelines
  • You will represent ING at  (client) events to position the ING value proposition and keep informed on key trends

 

How to succeed

We are looking for a person with sales drive and willingness to deliver to our clients. Your success will be underpinned by understanding our daily banking products & solutions and corporate treasury operations in general, owning and managing deals from origination until signing of the mandate.

  • Higher education (HBO) or University education (Bachelor or Master's degree) preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance
  • Strong commercial skills and ability to excel in originating TS solutions
  • Relevant work experience in the Transaction Services or daily banking domain with proven involvement in payments and cash management, trade finance and/or working capital solutions for corporate clients
  • Experience with KYC related processes
  • You have knowledge of credit approval processes e.g. credit applications, risk management (financial and non-financial) and relevant legal and tax regulations
  • At ease with managing time-sensitive projects with many stakeholders
  • Business-level communication skills (both verbal and written) in Dutch and English
  • You are willing to learn every day in a continuous changing global environment with high expectations from clients
  • Flexibility is required to get things done. You do not just give up when challenges arise or ask someone to help you.
