The Job: UX Researcher
The UX Researcher will uncover deep customer insights to inform Money Mart’s digital products, strategy, and experiences. Working across pods and growth initiatives, this role designs and executes research that directly shapes product direction and ensures customer voices are at the center of what we build. You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, analysts, marketers, and stakeholders to influence decisions with actionable insights.
What You’ll Do
Cross-Pod & Growth Support: Conduct generative and evaluative research to support pod workstreams, growth initiatives, and product iterations
Discovery Research: Lead early-stage discovery for new products and features, delivering insights to shape MVP scoping and development
Research Design & Execution: Develop research plans, screeners, scripts, and guides while applying the right methods (interviews, surveys, diary studies, usability testing, A/B test support)
Synthesis & Insights: Translate findings into clear, actionable insights that influence strategy and design
Collaboration: Work side-by-side with UX designers, product managers, and analysts to activate insights and improve customer experiences
Evangelize Customer Voice: Champion customer needs throughout the development lifecycle, especially during MVP iterations and roadmap planning
Insight Sharing: Present findings through workshops, reports, and walkthroughs to align teams and drive action
Research Infrastructure: Help standardize processes, templates, and build a growing repository of insights to support teams and avoid duplication
External Tools & Partners: Leverage research platforms (UserTesting, Maze, Ethnio, etc.) to scale capabilities when needed
Measurement & Validation: Partner with analytics teams to triangulate qualitative and quantitative insights, supporting experiments and optimization
What You’ll Bring to the Table
3–5 years of experience in UX or product research roles within agile digital product environments
Strong expertise in mixed-methods research, applying both qualitative techniques and quantitative analysis
Proven ability to deliver research that influenced product strategy or user experience outcomes
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Familiarity with design thinking, agile/scrum methodologies, and product development cycles
Experience in financial services, fintech, or retail preferred
Education + Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field preferred
Hands-on experience with usability testing, surveys, and digital research tools
Track record of embedding insights into product decision-making and customer experience improvements
