The Impact of a Sustainability Manager to Coupa:
The Sustainability Manager joins a dynamic Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, focused on sustainability and social impact. The Sustainability Manager will collaborate with the broader ESG team and key stakeholders across the organization to drive strategy initiatives that evolve Coupa’s ESG programs. You will be instrumental in overseeing all sustainability disclosures, Coupa’s carbon emissions inventory, and ESG investor requests. In close collaboration with the ESG team, the Sustainability Manager will support the development of Coupa’s annual ESG Report and oversee ESG data collection across global operations.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee ESG data analysis, reporting, and compliance, including managing annual disclosures (UN Global Compact, EcoVadis, CDP, investor questionnaires).
- Lead data collection and management for Coupa’s carbon emissions inventory (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), partnering with external vendors for calculations and audits.
- Develop internal ESG scorecards and planning tools to track sustainability performance and drive program execution.
- Support the creation of Coupa’s annual ESG Report, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies for content, design, and communications.
- Monitor ESG reporting trends and standards, providing insights to enhance Coupa’s reporting practices.
- Coordinate ESG-related communications and sustainability events, and represent Coupa in external sustainability memberships.
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 5 years of experience with 3 years in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or related fields preferred
- Team focused and collaborative with ability to work cross-functionally to help drive initiatives globally
- Experience in sustainability reporting initiatives and ESG data collection
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex and detailed information and communicate it clearly for all levels across the organization
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Passionate about making an impact and interested in building new programs
