Description de l’entreprise

Description du poste

Job Description

Our Software R&D team is seeking a paid intern for a 4- to 6-month term to explore how Vortex Studio simulations can be deployed, operated, and scaled in cloud environments.

This internship focuses on cloud-native simulation infrastructure and remote simulation workflows supporting synthetic data generation, engineering validation, autonomous-system development, and simulation QA.

The project will be adapted to the successful candidate’s background and interests. It may involve remote simulation control, cloud deployment and infrastructure automation, workload orchestration, data pipelines, and developer tools that integrate Vortex Studio into modern cloud and engineering workflows.

You will work with experienced software developers and simulation specialists while contributing directly to the evolution of the Vortex Studio platform.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and prototype ways to deploy and operate Vortex Studio simulations in cloud environments.
  • Develop APIs, services, command-line tools, or web applications to configure, launch, monitor, and control remote simulations.
  • Build and improve automated deployment workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Develop workflows to collect, transport, store, and expose simulation data and results.
  • Explore orchestration and elastic-scaling strategies for synthetic data generation, automated QA, engineering studies, and autonomy experiments.
  • Evaluate the performance, scalability, reliability, and usability of proposed approaches.
  • Document technical decisions, results, limitations, and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Background in software engineering, computer science, cloud computing, distributed systems, or a related technical field.
  • Strong software development skills in Go, Python, or a similar language.
  • Familiarity with Linux, containers, networking, and modern software deployment workflows.
  • Ability to investigate technical problems independently and turn ideas into working prototypes.
  • Interest in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, simulation, or developer platforms.
  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills. French is an asset.

Assets

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Pulumi, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience building REST/gRPC APIs, backend services, or web applications.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, object storage, streaming, observability, autoscaling, or distributed systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, or large-scale compute workloads.
  • Exposure to simulation, robotics, synthetic data generation, game engines, or engineering software.
