Team / Department: Media Buy Enablement Operations  

 

OVERVIEW: Our Media Operations team plays a key role in implementing the organization’s strategic vision and enabling operational excellence. Working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth business practice.    

The Specialist, Media Buy Enablement of Operations plays a critical role in ensuring that buy management activities and deliverables are executed on time at a high-quality level.  

In this role you are responsible for coordinating and executing all day-to-day campaign buy administration activity for assigned client brands and campaigns, under the direction of a Media Operations Supervisor or Manager. You will be supporting your Supervisor/Manager in managing the team and workload.  You will be a key team member, working within our buy management processes and systems to ensure client orders are processed and monthly bill/pay activities are managed throughout the buy management process, within client approved budgets. This role includes developing positive and assertive relationships with planning and trading teams to effectively implement the client order, buys, billing, actualization and payments, in accordance with GroupM Standard Operating Procedures.     

   

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Provides support to your Manager/Supervisor in managing staff and tasks with the team and monitoring progress & completion  
  • Bridge from Associate to Supervisor  
  • Day to day focal point for specific client teams in the coordination and execution of campaign initiation, activation and reconciliation process within our financial management systems  
  • Ensure campaign timelines are adhered to in the client order, bill and pay process  
  • Monitor and ensure accurate budget allocation of the MPA to campaigns  
  • Work with cross functional team and fosters relationships  
  • Participate and contribute to client team meetings around client orders, billing and payable status, brining pending issues to completion  
  • Supports in training BE Associates  
  • Assists in the QA process of campaign inputs  

   

   

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:     

  • College Diploma in a Marketing, Financial, or Project Management field, or equivalent experience is an asset  
  • A keen interest in Media and learning the end-to-end media process for all channels  
  • Attention to detail and an aptitude toward basic math  
  • Some knowledge of MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Planner, workflow tool) is an asset

  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and able to multi-task  
  • Strong math skills and ability to speak to numbers comfortably  
  • Advance computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)  
  • Strong communication skills and relationship management  
  • Ability to escalate questions and seek team support as needed  
  • Fosters a complete understanding of their client’s buy management process, structure and nuances  
  • Full understanding of the campaign initiation, activation and reconciliation process and requirements within our financial systems across all channels
