Job Description

As a Data Operations Specialist at Ubisoft Montreal, you will join the Ubisoft Data Office as part of the Production Intelligence Project. Your role is to help create, structure, and maintain reliable production data that can be shared across teams such as production, marketing, and sales, as well as with leadership, through consistent and meaningful indicators.

As a Data Operations Specialist, you will focus on ensuring the quality, clarity, and usability of data. You will build a deep understanding of the data ecosystem, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and help define a clear path toward more reliable and standardized data practices across the organization. Given the visibility of this role, you will collaborate closely with many teams and act as a trusted partner to support long-term alignment.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze business and analytical needs across production and supporting teams
  • Support production teams in implementing tools according to shared data guidelines
  • Act as a key contact for data collection, validation, and usage across systems
  • Define and promote a common data language to improve consistency and understanding
  • Document and maintain a knowledge base covering data definitions, rules, and life cycles
  • Map data sources and local usages, then help converge them into a unified vision
  • Monitor data quality indicators, identify root causes of inconsistencies, and assess impacts
  • Propose and apply standardization and remediation plans, including governance improvements
  • Design or improve tools and automated solutions to support data operations

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks
  • Familiarity with production management tools like Jira
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling concepts
  • Working knowledge of Python or another programming language
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is an asset
  • Understanding of data transformation processes, including ETL, is an asset
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • A structured, pragmatic, and persistent approach to problem solving
