Job Description

Job Summary:

Inside a team of fully dedicated AI software you will perform research, analysis, development, and validation of State-Of-The-Art AI-based algorithms for integration into Teledyne’s Astrocyte software for usage in the field of industrial vision.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the project manager, your main tasks will consist of:

• Research, analyze, and experiment recent algorithms in AI development community

• Develop and integrate new algorithms in AI platform (Astrocyte)

• Improve, maintain, and troubleshoot existing algorithms

• Write and maintain unit-test and system-test functions

• Occasionally attend scientific AI events

• Contribute to the development of other components of the AI ecosystem in the Montreal AI team.

The ideal candidate quickly integrates new knowledge, demonstrates initiative and autonomy, and is capable of efficient cooperation in a multidisciplinary team.

Job Qualifications:

Mandatory:

• Master or PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence

• Programming experience with Python language

• Programming experience on a Linux OS

• Strong knowledge of data science and machine learning paradigms

• Knowledge of one AI framework such as PyTorch and TensorFlow

• Written and spoken French and English

• This position involves cross-divisional collaboration and communication with internal customers in Canada outside Quebec.

Recommended:

• Programming experience with C/C++ language

• Experience in Embedded Programming

Résumé du poste :

Au sein d'une équipe entièrement dédiée aux logiciels d'IA, vous effectuerez de la recherche, des analyses, du développement et de la validation d'algorithmes d'IA de pointe pour leur intégration dans le logiciel Astrocyte de Teledyne, destiné à être utilisé dans le domaine de la vision industrielle.

Principales tâches et responsabilités :

Sous la supervision du chef de projet, vos principales tâches consisteront à :

•             Rechercher, analyser et expérimenter les algorithmes récents dans la communauté de développement de l'IA

•             Développer et intégrer de nouveaux algorithmes sous la plateforme d'IA (Astrocyte)

•             Améliorer, maintenir et dépanner les algorithmes existants

•             Écrire et maintenir des fonctions de tests unitaires et de tests système

•             Assister occasionnellement à des événements scientifiques sur l'IA

•             Contribuer au développement d'autres composants de l'écosystème d'IA de l'équipe d'IA de Montréal.

Le candidat idéal intègre rapidement de nouvelles connaissances, fait preuve d'initiative et d'autonomie, et est capable de coopérer efficacement au sein d'une équipe pluridisciplinaire.

Qualifications requises :

Obligatoires :

•             Maitrise ou doctorat en intelligence artificielle

•             Expérience en programmation avec le langage Python

•             Expérience en programmation sur un système d'exploitation Linux

•             Solide connaissance des paradigmes de la science des données et de l'apprentissage automatique

•             Connaissance d'un « framework » d'IA tel que PyTorch ou TensorFlow

•             Français et anglais écrits et parlés

Ce poste implique une collaboration entre les divisions et une communication avec des clients internes  au Canada à l'extérieur du Québec.
