Your Role & Responsibilities 
  • Leads and inspires a high performing Operations Team that supports Brenntag’s Core Values and the Brenntag Way execution for business conduct and compliance;

  • Contributes to the delivery of service excellence to both internal and external customer groups;

  • Builds and maintains a positive work environment by actively driving employee initiatives aimed at enhancing engagement and satisfaction;

  • Manages operational activities to meet inventory and customer demand requirements;

  • Manages District Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) and/or other applicable programs;

  • Ensures staff are appropriately trained in emergency response, health and safety, and in the minimization of environmental impacts of District operational activities;

  • Develops annual expense and capital budgets and manages operational activities to control expenses incurred by operations in accordance with the operations budget expectations;

  • Develops, implements, and manages capital expenditure (CAPEX) and other projects, as required;

  • Immediately reports all conditions that either could have or resulted in safety, quality, and environmental incidents;

  • Inspects and verifies the satisfactory performance of all district facilities, equipment and processes, develops and recommends changes where necessary, and ensures that work areas are appropriately maintained, organized, and functional; 

  • Identifies and recommends changes or improvements, where appropriate, that enhance quality, health, safety, and the efficiency of processes;

  • Ensures safety is the first priority and that all activities are conducted in accordance with quality, health, safety and environmental management system as well as corporate and local policies.

Your Profile Education & Experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and/or Business

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment, preferably chemical distribution (5+ years)

  • Effective team leader possessing superior communication and people management skills

  • Sound computer skills in the use of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
