As a senior telecommunications advisor, you play a pivotal role in the design, administration and evolution of network infrastructure (SD-WAN, Meraki, Arista, Cloud, etc.) at Desjardins. You help to ensure the continuous delivery of robust IT solutions, then monitor their quality, security and performance. You serve as a mentor and point of contact, supporting the team as they adopt best practices in architecture, automation, security and operations. You work closely with architects, developers and partners to align solutions with business objectives. More specifically, you will be required to :
Act as an architectural and operational expert, guide the team as they adopt new technology, encourage skills development and improve delivery speed.
Serve as a technical mentor, document solutions and maintain a sustainable knowledge base.
Help analyze, design, develop, test and use IT products while applying best practices in security, data and performance.
Co-create with architects and business partners to ensure solutions are aligned with organizational objectives.
Identify and make recommendations on operations that can be automated, then help implement technological solutions to optimize operations.
Handle major incidents, proactively monitor IT environments and help write post-mortems.
Provide high-level support for complex incidents, maintain relationships with suppliers and coordinate technological updates.
Translate client needs into technical solutions, draw up action plans, coordinate their implementation and assess the impact of changes.
Design or adapt processes and tools to enhance operational efficiency, security and stability.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Certification (obtained or in progress) for telecommunications support
Knowledge of French is required
Telecom expertise (Cisco, Arista, Cloud, security, Wi-Fi)
Knowledge of load balancing systems
Knowledge of firewall safety rules
Knowledge of PCI and ITIL standards
Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
Available to provide paid 24/7 on-call expert service, on rotation
