About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join a dynamic Agile software release team known as the Deployment Ordering Framework (DOF). This team is focused on the design, development, and deployment of web and API solutions supporting key digital transformation initiatives.
In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance in designing technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration across systems, and supporting a cross-functional delivery team through end-to-end execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of scalable, high-performance solutions for both backend and frontend components.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Architect integrated IT solutions that support the introduction of new technologies and services.
- Champion modern software practices including DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD.
- Provide mentorship and technical oversight to developers and engineers within the delivery team.
- Ensure alignment with architectural standards and coding best practices.
- Manage architectural improvements, new feature development, and defect fixes on existing systems.
- Contribute to architecture documentation and ensure compliance with frameworks like TOGAF, eTOM, ITIL, or CoBiT.
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture and enterprise application development.
- Proven expertise in backend technologies: Java, J2EE, Quarkus, Spring Boot, XML, SOAP, RESTful Web Services, Spring MVC, Multithreading, Swagger, and Microservices.
- Experience designing and developing REST-based TMF Open APIs.
- Strong frontend development knowledge using: ReactJS, JavaScript, NodeJS, Java.
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and containerization.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models, especially SAFe, and tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong understanding of architecture frameworks and IT service delivery methodologies (TOGAF, eTOM, ITIL, CoBiT).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Ability to work collaboratively in hybrid teams and participate in occasional in-office collaboration in Toronto.
Working Conditions:
- Type of job: Temporary Contractor – 1 year with the possibility to extend
- Work hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
