Position overview

The EmbedX Squad is on a mission to revolutionize how our partners engage their users. We create dynamic, high-impact widgets and tools that seamlessly integrate into websites and social networks, enhancing user experiences and making them unforgettable. As a Senior Fullstack Developer, you'll be at the forefront of this innovation, designing, developing, and implementing our cutting-edge widgets. Your expertise in frontend technologies will shine as you lead projects focused on creating visually appealing and highly performant products. With a deep understanding of backend systems, you'll ensure that our solutions are not only effective but also robust and scalable. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to bring these products to life, maintaining a strong focus on simplicity, usability, and long-term maintainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and rollout of widgets for blogs and social networks, ensuring a perfect balance between frontend and backend requirements

• Develop and maintain a library of widgets that will become an integral part of our Developer platform, focusing heavily on frontend development using Vue.js, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript

• Implement backend solutions with Node.js and MongoDB, ensuring seamless integration with our REST and GraphQL APIs

• Take ownership of web performance metrics such as FCP, LCP, and TBT, ensuring that our widgets are not just functional but also lightning-fast

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to refine product specifications, discuss trade-offs, and make strategic decisions that align with business goals

• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

• Facilitate sprint retrospectives and incident post-mortems, helping the team introspect and improve processes and outcomes

• Ensure code quality, simplicity, and long-term maintainability through rigorous code reviews and best practices

• Propose and implement well-regarded technical designs for large projects, considering usability and user experience

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, understanding how your work contributes to business-level strategic initiatives

• Balance pragmatic solutions with technical excellence, understanding when to push back and when to compromise

• Quickly pull in the right people to discuss options and escalate as needed when faced with challenges or scope changes

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 8+ years of experience in Frontend development with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing solutions

• Proven experience in backend development with a deep understanding of modern frameworks and technologies, particularly MongoDB, TypeScript, and Node.js

• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset, with the ability to think through risks and details upfront.

• Deep understanding of FCP, LCP, TBT metrics with a strong knowledge of web performance

• Experience integrating third-party APIs and SDKs

• Demonstrated ability to own significant technical projects from conception to deployment

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with product managers and other stakeholders
