Your role: 

Are you passionate about the digital industry with a strong interest in information platforms ? Are you  an experienced product manager ? This opportunity within Digital Media is for you. 

In collaboration with the editorial team, the strategist and the dedicated development teams (product owner, designer, developer, business analyst, etc.), you will work on the evolution of INFO, the French Digital News product and its various platforms, balancing the short-term work and long-term objectives.

You are a team player and know how to rally people around a vision and a roadmap for your product. You work with multiple partners to identify and implement business needs, keeping the user at the top of your priorities.

The product experience is at the heart of your concerns and you plan its evolution taking into account the needs of the target audience, technological advances and the market. You know how to navigate in an agile environment and are continually seeking to experiment to inform product decisions. You are skilled at prioritizing what will deliver maximum value as quickly as possible, and know how to conduct this exercise regularly with your teams and partners.

 

In addition to being passionate about developing the INFO product, you actively participate in the product management community of practice within the organization. You are an ambassador by sharing internal and market best practices. 

What your responsibilities will be:

  • Identify business needs and requirements.

  • Evolve the product vision and roadmap.

  • Communicate regularly on progress, challenges and issues with a problem-solving mindset. 

  • Lead all strategy and planning activities (product discovery), including the definition of key objectives and results, product reviews, design cycles (design sprint), etc.

  • Support teams in delivery activities (product delivery).

  • Ensure the health and continuous improvement of the team (processes, tools, communication and meeting rituals, etc.).

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements:

  • University degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline

  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in digital product development as Product Manager

  • Work experience in Agile environment (Scrum, Jira, etc)

  • Strong knowledge with performance measurement tools and A/B testing

  • Experience with collaboration and co-creation methods (Design Sprint or other…)

  • Knowledge in personalization strategies and tactics is an asset

  • Excellent spoken and written French; English an asset to promote collaboration with bilingual teams.

  • Keen curiosity, always on the lookout for new developments, trends and innovations in his field of expertise and business (digital, news media, etc.) 

Please note that this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually.
