Job Description

Acumatica's Product Marketing team is looking for a strategic Product Marketer to own the product marketing for our QuickBooks Graduates program — the positioning, messaging, and content strategy that helps growing small businesses "graduate" from QuickBooks to a modern, cloud ERP platform. You have proven experience in ERP or SMB accounting/finance software, and a strong point of view on why and when small businesses outgrow QuickBooks. You'll craft compelling, differentiated messaging that speaks to QuickBooks users at the exact moment they're hitting the ceiling of their current system, and you'll tailor that story to the industries where those breaking points show up most: construction, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and their related micro-verticals. This role is a full-time opportunity reporting directly to the VP of Product Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities:

QuickBooks Graduates Positioning & Storytelling

Own the positioning and messaging that fuels the QuickBooks Graduates program, working alongside marketing teams, sales, and partner teams who drive its broader execution. Shape clear, compelling narratives that translate product functionality into meaningful business value for small businesses that have outgrown QuickBooks — helping prospects understand not just what Acumatica does differently, but why it matters at their stage of growth, while clearly differentiating our cloud ERP platform from QuickBooks and other SMB accounting and.ERP tools.

Industry & Micro-Vertical Messaging

Go beyond a one-size-fits-all QuickBooks-replacement narrative. Build and maintain positioning and content that applies the QuickBooks Graduates story to our targeted industries — construction, manufacturing, distribution, and professional services — and their related micro-verticals, so messaging speaks directly to the specific triggers, workflows, and pain points that push each industry beyond QuickBooks.

Thought Leadership & Market Insight

Create differentiated thought leadership assets, messaging, and positioning that establish Acumatica as the trusted destination for growing QuickBooks customers. Ground our storytelling in an ideal customer profile — the QuickBooks user hitting the limits of their system — along with industry and market insights, to ensure our communications deeply resonate with real-world growing pains: multi-entity complexity, inventory and job costing limitations, lack of automation, and reporting gaps.

Go-to-Market Leadership

Work collaboratively with the broader marketing organization to support end-to-end go-to-market strategies for QuickBooks Graduates campaigns.

Customer-Centered Narratives

Partner with our customer advocacy team to review and elevate customer stories and videos from businesses that made the switch from QuickBooks, weaving authentic, real-world outcomes — by industry — into marketing assets. Use customer evidence to build trust, credibility, and emotional connection across the buyer journey.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work hand-in-hand with product, sales, and industry/vertical teams to stay aligned on roadmaps, priorities, and upcoming capabilities relevant to QuickBooks migration. Serve as a connective tissue across teams, ensuring marketing materials accurately reflect product evolution while amplifying shared goals.

Data-Informed Strategy

Leverage performance data and analytics to guide QuickBooks Graduates marketing strategies, evolve content, and evaluate campaign effectiveness by industry segment, and continuously refine our approach — balancing insight with creativity to drive stronger outcomes.

Content Experiences & Demos

Create engaging video scripts and perform light video edits in collaboration with professional design and video partners. Develop polished QuickBooks-comparison and product overview videos, along with intuitive, point-and-click demos that bring key workflows and "how-to" scenarios to life for growing businesses in our targeted industries.

Marketing Enablement

Maintain and evolve core QuickBooks Graduates assets — including website messaging, comparison guides, datasheets, infographics, brochures etc. — for both the overarching program and its industry-specific variants, to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy. Support release planning and help keep internal and external teams aligned on positioning as offerings grow and change.

Events, Speaking & Community Engagement

Support industry trade shows and events with strong messaging and content targeted at QuickBooks users evaluating a move to ERP. Contribute to partner and customer events through presentations, webinars, and thought leadership sessions — including opportunities to present live — sharing Acumatica's vision and expertise with confidence and authenticity.

Messaging and Positioning

Translate functionality and benefits into real value that resonate with small business buyers, tailoring that value story to both the overarching QuickBooks Graduates program and its industry-specific extensions.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of three to five years of product marketing experience is required. You must possess a deep knowledge of small business accounting software (QuickBooks or comparable), ERP business management systems, accounting processes, business technology, and B2B marketing strategies. Experience marketing to or supporting one or more of the following industries is a plus: construction, manufacturing, distribution, or professional services.

Education: An educational background in marketing, English, public relations, journalism, business, philosophy, computer science, or a related field.

Skills: You must be an exceptionally strong writer, able to explain complex features using clear, direct language and to translate technical ERP capability into plain-spoken benefits for small business owners. You must approach every project with an analytical mind and a creative approach to messaging. Excellent organization, multitasking ability, and strong communication are essential.

Technology Proficiency: Experience working with marketing technologies is preferred. This includes WordPress, Jasper or comparable AI tools, Camtasia, Asana, CRM applications, SharePoint, and Wistia. Direct experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) is a strong plus.

Team Fit: We're looking for someone who fits with our friendly, ethical team, embodies our core values, brings a smile to work, and is ready to form lasting professional relationships in a fun, fast-paced environment. You are a team player who is enjoyable to work with, brings positive energy, and commits to collaboration and shared success. You have a genuine passion for supporting others, a practical and optimistic outlook, and a willingness to go the extra mile as part of our community.
