As Senior Operational Risk Advisor, you're part of an operational risk management team (1B) dedicated to the Property and Casualty Insurance Executive Division. More specifically, you're part of a team of specialists tasked with providing support and applying the operational risk management framework in one of the business segments served by this executive division. Your role consists in being well versed in the various risks in the sector you support and helping your team maintain operational control via the operational risk management activities required. More specifically, you will be required to:

Help implement new operational risk management tools, methodologies and governance documents, as well as provide training and raise awareness among sector resources and managers

Master all risks and controls related to the business segment's processes by continuously feeding and updating the risk profile based on change and event analysis

Make recommendations on rolling out action plans when needed, and monitor them

Support risk analyses for projects and initiatives

What you bring to the table

Bachelor's degree in a related field
-
A minimum of six years of relevant experience in operational risk

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Experience in operational risk assessment and control

Experience in executive writing and presenting

Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients

Familiarity with the best practices, methodologies and tools used in risk management, governance and internal controls
