Senior Manager of Software Engineering - Java

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technology Lead with strong background in technology and domain experience in Investment bank.
As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Investment Banking division, you will be at the forefront of innovation in swap applications, utilizing advanced technology and market insights. This role provides the chance to create solutions that transcend traditional methods in a dynamic and rapidly evolving setting.
Job responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Strong Experience in interacting with Trading desk and Operations; understanding workflows and designing solutions. Experience in Synthetics Prime Brokerage is desirable.
• Strong Experience in handling a 5-6 member team and supporting/ mentoring team members
• Create secure and high-quality production code and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software solutions.
• Drive innovation and adaptation of best practices within the team.
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing action plans, and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
• Manage defect tracking systems, resolve issues, and prepare updates for systems.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on technology development concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
• Strong experience in technology development & leading teams
• Hands-on programming experience in Java, multithreading, REST, Spring boot, Spring framework, Kafka & AWS technologies/ services.
• Experience implementing large scale, highly available Java applications using microservices.
• Experience in building, orchestrating, and deploying highly scalable REST-based stateless APIs/web services for web applications.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with Oracle Database, and PL/SQL is big plus
• Experience with CICD tools such as Jenkins and deployment automation tools.
• Experience with unit test automation frameworks such as Junit - Experience with version control software (Git Hub/Bitbucket)
