As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you will spearhead the development of Risk Central, our end-of-day Risk and Profit and Loss platform. This platform serves as a unified hub for all risk management systems to share their data and for users to retrieve information from, promoting a uniform approach across all business sectors and fostering technical and operational efficiencies. You will be an integral part of a global engineering team, collaborating with engineers in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, North America, and Latin America.

Job responsibilities:
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm-wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Engage in hands-on coding as part of regular workload, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Formal training or certification on Cloud Platforms concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Extensive experience of working with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).
- Formal training or certification on design patterns relevant to hosting and networking architectures and 5+ years applied experience
- Possess an up-to-date understanding of design patterns relevant to hosting and networking architectures.
- A strong background working in either Python or Java, having used one of these programming languages to execute significantly sized projects or initiatives.
- Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills.
- Expertise in data warehouse design and principles, including dimensional modeling, ETL processes and tools, performance tuning, metadata management and data governance.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Proactively champion product development, driven by a desire to build truly exceptional products, not just solve immediate challenges.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Certification in Cloud Platforms (AWS preferred).
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud capabilities, including RedShift, S3, Glue, EMR, Spark, ElastiCache, and Lambda.
- Demonstrated experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale.
- Experience in Infrastructure Architecture designs.
- Demonstrated experience leading a global engineering team to execute significantly sized projects or initiatives.
