As a Senior FileMaker Developer, you'll maintain, debug, and extend features of FileMaker systems, collaborate with teams, and support production transitions.
This is a remote position.
Our client, a professional FileMaker development agency is seeking an experienced, reliable and certified FileMaker Developer to join their team in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will assist with ongoing maintenance, debugging, and feature extension projects involving large, existing FileMaker systems across multiple client environments.
This role blends hands-on development with consultation and lifecycle support, including transitions from development to production using OttoFMS.
Employment Type: Part-time contract
Location: Remote
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Pacific Time).
What You’ll Work On:
- Debugging and improving existing FileMaker systems.
- Extending features in structured, production environments.
- Working from clear scope documents and blueprints.
- Supporting testing, deployment, and production releases.
- Collaborating with analysts, developers, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Certified FileMaker Developer (current or previous certification).
- 5-7+ years of hands-on FileMaker development experience.
- Experience with BaseElements and FMPerception.
- Experience with API integrations and FileMaker Server setup.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of the cross-functional team.
- Ability to stay within scope and budget.
- Experience working in structured dev environments.
