Reporting to the Manager, Business & Systems Analysis Chapter, the Senior Business & Systems Consultant has deep knowledge of a wide variety of business/data concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to IT and general operations; they rely on their expertise, experience, and judgment to plan and achieve goals, and to do a variety of tasks. The Senior Business & Systems Consultant conducts needs analysis, writes requirements/user stories, collaborates with others for system design; and supports the team to increase productivity and reduce costs.
What will you do?

As part of the Sun Life Canada Securities Inc (SLCSI) squad, you will analyze and define user needs and translate them into system requirements/user stories/data mapping documents.

Review and analyze data feeds/transaction data, create requirements for vendor updates.
-
Create and/or provide comments into internal and external communications and user documentation.
-
Review and provide comments on business and technical documentation.
-
Support business on the roll-out of what has been developed with a focus on end-to-end validation.

Act in an advisory capacity as well as coach/mentor to Business & Systems Analysts.
What do you need to succeed?
-
Experience with Canadian Securities investment products (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, UMAs/SMAs, etc).
-
Experience working with CIRO (formerly IIROC) licensed investment dealers with knowledge of systems such as Kyndryl/Broadridge.

Ability to examine, interpret, and draw insights from large datasets of investment information.
-
Skilled in test execution and understanding the outcomes.
-
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and simply both complex business and technical concepts and align the organization on decisions.
-
Ability to work and demonstrate cooperation in a matrixed team environment.
-
Experience with data & integration modelling.
-
Ability to collaborate with a range of internal and vendor partners.
-
Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.

Comfortable working in ambiguous environments.

Canadian Securities Course through CSI (Canadian Securities Institute) is an asset.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
