What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC’s Shared Platform Technologies (SPT) BA team, the Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for business application developments to ensure growth. The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and participating in client business review sessions to influence decisions regarding the use of technology to support objectives. The Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis develops, recommends and facilitates activities required for the application of new technologies to support existing processes and client needs. The role provides expertise to project managers, coordinators and directors on technology functionality and utilization, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics. The role independently resolves a variety of ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts, devising new methods using strong analytic and inductive thinking.

How you'll succeed

Requirements Delivery – Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements, solution requirements and facilitate requirements discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project life cycle as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Strategic planning – Ensure that requirements for systems and solutions are aligned with the business goals of the organization.

Accountability – Responsibility for the standardization of artifacts or deliverables delivered through the solution development lifecycle process. Ensure adherence to CIBC requirements standards, work practices, processes, security standards and policies.

Client Relationships – Develop and sustain relationships across the organization in and outside of technology, including negotiation and influence independent of authority.

Stakeholder Engagement – Interface with internal and external stakeholders, including Business and Technology LOBs, Enterprise Architecture, Operational teams and vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables
Who you are
-
You can demonstrate 5+ years experience in Business Systems Analysis in a Business Systems Consultant role leading projects and large Programs. With the ability to elicit requirements and write strong documentation. Excellent abilities to manage stakeholders and having strong communication skills is a must. You have strong abilities around analyzing and understanding data, as well as gap analysis expertise. You have strong problem solving skills, stakeholder management abilities, and exceptional organizational skills.

It’s an asset if you have at least 2 years of Confluence/Jira experience writing user stories, and have experience with Agile delivery, methodologies and practices.
