As a Senior Business Partner, you will work collaboratively with leadership teams (including an executive directorate and a Vice-Presidency) to ensure the success of their business strategies. To achieve this, you will develop strategic and operational human resources management plans, leverage internal centres of expertise, and propose ideas, tools, and analyses to proactively address key business and employee challenges.

You will apply these skills in areas such as labor relations, organizational development, and change management initiatives.

This position requires occasional travel, depending on the time of year and the files being managed.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Influence decision-making by building strong relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the people management strategy for your sectors, and play a leadership role in implementing this strategy.
  • Provide expert HR advice to executives and senior leaders, playing a vital role in the organization's strategic planning.
  • Conduct HR and IR (Industrial Relations) investigations.
  • Deploy and execute medium- to long-term HR strategies to resolve complex issues tied to business objectives.
  • Ensure productive union-management relations by maintaining effective professional relationships with union representatives at both local and national levels.
  • Build strong partnerships with managers and union representatives to foster the resolution of potential issues.
  • Participate in HR and operational projects.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • More than ten (10) years of experience in a similar HR and/or labor relations role.
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of human resources management and solid professional experience in the field, including extensive industrial relations experience in a large, complex, unionized work environment.
  • Experience in the broadcasting or media sector, or with a federally regulated employer – mandatory.
  • Superior ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships, with strong influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Impeccable judgment; ability to make informed decisions and creatively solve problems in complex situations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and experience in managing and mobilizing people.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal); ability to ensure messages are clear and concise.
  • Bilingualism (French and English).

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
