Job Description:

HR is modernizing how it manages and uses data across operations, reporting, analytics and approved AI use cases. The Senior Business Information Management Analyst combines HR business knowledge, business analysis and practical data expertise to help make priority HR information more trusted, understandable and fit for its intended use. Working across HR, technology and enterprise data partners, the role provides practical guidance and hands-on delivery support through structured analysis, stakeholder workshops, recommendations, documentation and coordination of defined deliverables.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and advise: Examine HR processes, information flows and business needs to identify root causes, clarify requirements and recommend sustainable solutions for priority data, reporting, data products and approved AI use cases.
  • Lead data management initiatives: Independently lead assigned work involving metadata, data quality, governed artifacts or data-concern remediation, including analysis, action planning, progress tracking and closure evidence.
  • Strengthen data foundations: Establish clear business definitions, ownership and relationships in Data Compass (Collibra), and help design fit-for-purpose data quality measures, controls and monitoring.
  • Embed requirements into change: Work with HR and technology delivery teams so new or changing solutions address ownership, quality, metadata, privacy and lifecycle needs from the outset.
  • Enable HR teams: Create reusable guidance, templates and learning support that help HR teams manage recurring responsibilities with greater confidence and autonomy.
  • Facilitate decisions: Communicate risks, dependencies, outcomes and recommendations clearly across business, governance and technology partners. Formal business ownership and implementation decisions remain with the relevant Data Owners and delivery teams.

What You Bring

Required

  • Demonstrated experience applying data management or data governance practices in a complex organization.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas: metadata management, data quality, data controls, data lineage, data-risk management or data-concern remediation.
  • Experience independently leading complex data or information-management initiatives through problem definition, analysis, recommendation, implementation support and outcome tracking.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and information flows, identify root causes, define data requirements and recommend sustainable solutions.
  • Experience translating business needs into data requirements and working across business, governance and technology teams to resolve complex issues involving shared ownership and competing priorities.
  • Influence: Ability to influence without authority, constructively challenge strong perspectives and build alignment across partners.
  • Navigating ambiguity: Ability to operate effectively in a complex and evolving environment, bringing structure and clarity where requirements, accountabilities or the path forward are not fully defined.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data issues, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Assets

  • HR domain experience or experience managing sensitive workforce or employee data.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Collibra (Data Compass) or comparable enterprise HR and metadata-management platforms.
  • Experience supporting reporting, analytics, data products or approved AI use cases.
  • Relevant certification in data management, data governance, data quality or business analysis.
  • Scaled Agile delivery: Experience working within TD Scaled Agility or a comparable scaled Agile delivery model, including managing and prioritizing backlogs, translating complex work into achievable deliverables, and adapting to changing business priorities.

Growth and Exposure

The role provides direct exposure to HR leaders, Data Owners, technology teams and enterprise data partners across multiple HR domains. It offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in business advisory, data quality, metadata, governance and change delivery while helping shape practical approaches for an evolving HR data environment.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Assigned initiatives contribute to clearer ownership, definitions and fit-for-purpose governance for priority HR data and governed artifacts.
  • Analysis and recommendations help partners identify data concerns earlier, address them predictably and support closure with clear evidence.
  • Delivered solutions, guidance and controls help reduce repeated validation, reconciliation and avoidable rework.
  • Data Owners and HR teams are better equipped to carry out recurring responsibilities using practical tools and guidance.
  • HR initiatives, reporting, data products and approved AI use cases have stronger data foundations, increasing stakeholder confidence in the information used for decisions and operations.
