As a Senior Advisor, Marketing and Communications, you play a strategic role in marketing wealth management investment solutions. You help define, plan and execute integrated communication strategies to support business objectives and strengthen the positioning of our solutions with investors and with Desjardins’s various intermediary and specialized distribution networks and partners across Canada. These include independent networks, investment advisors, private wealth management teams and brokerage platforms. You’re recognized for your ability to develop comprehensive communication strategies and to transform complex concepts into clear, relevant and engaging messages. You combine strong writing skills with a strategic vision, allowing you to effectively orchestrate communications across multiple channels and touchpoints. You lead diverse practitioners on strategic projects and initiatives. You make recommendations on how to market investment solutions and develop content strategies in an environment that requires a thorough understanding of business issues, the needs of target clients and best practices in marketing communications. You’ll need to collaborate with the Product, Sales, Marketing, and Compliance teams, as well as with various internal and external partners. Interpersonal savvy, influence, and the ability to rally key players are essential to success in this role. More specifically, you will be required to:

Communication and marketing strategy

  • Develop integrated communication strategies that support the marketing of wealth management investment solutions
  • Draft position statements, value propositions, key messages and slogans associated with various initiatives
  • Develop comprehensive communication plans (approaches, tactics and channels) for product launches, campaigns and strategic projects

Content creation and editorial leadership

  • Serve as an expert advisor for content, writing and editorial strategy
  • Write, edit and optimize a wide range of marketing and corporate content, including websites, emails, brochures, guides, presentations, LinkedIn posts and documentation for advisors
  • Clearly and simply explain complex financial concepts and investment solutions

Integrated campaign and project management

  • Orchestrate how communications are disseminated across various marketing channels
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor multiple projects simultaneously using project management tools (Jira) to ensure effective tracking of deliverables and timelines
  • Work with specialists from various fields of expertise to provide a consistent and high-performance experience.

Optimization and innovation

  • Measure the performance of communication initiatives and recommend appropriate adjustments. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices
  • Leverage the capabilities offered by artificial intelligence to optimize working methods, content production and operational efficiency
  • Actively monitor trends in marketing communications, wealth management and content creation.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communication
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in marketing communications, content strategy, writing or marketing
  • Experience using AI in a professional environment
  • Experience in the financial, investment or wealth management sector 
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Intermediate knowledge of French, both oral and written
  • Advanced proficiency of English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Expertise in integrated marketing communications, including developing communication strategies, writing multi-platform content, managing complex projects and providing strategic support to business partners
  • Knowledge of and experience using project management tools such as Jira
