JOB DESCRIPTION
In UL Solutions' Built Environment, we help our customers meet evolving requirements for the safety, quality, performance, sustainability, interoperability and security of building materials, products, infrastructure and technologies.
This is a Hybrid position requiring 3 days/week in an office. Candidates must reside in Varennes (Quebec)
Candidates must be Bilingual (French/English)
Engages with customers via telephone or electronic inquiries for the purpose of taking orders, order fulfilment, or admin-related post-sales activities.
Under moderate supervision, develops and shares quotes for specified categories of leads using standardized pricing tools.
Processes orders into the ERP after quote acceptance, ensures clients receive follow-up of sent quotes and assists in turning quotes into orders.
Supports account managers and owners by performing administrative-related tasks.
Tracks previous orders and supplies data from internal data sources when directed by account owners and representatives to facilitate deeper knowledge of accounts and account opportunities.
Supports on post-sale inquiries that are received through either phone, email, or contact us form submissions with respect to invoicing, multiple listing, name/address changes, file transfers, my UL support queries, FUS estimates, file/volume withdrawals, reinstatements, alternate listing, Product iQ support etc.

Soutient les gestionnaires et les responsables de comptes en effectuant des tâches administratives
Effectue le suivi des commandes précédentes et fournit des données provenant de sources internes, à la demande des responsables et des représentants de comptes, afin d'approfondir la connaissance des comptes et des opportunités commerciales
Répond aux demandes de renseignements après-vente reçues par téléphone, courriel ou formulaire de contact concernant la facturation, les listes multiples, les changements de nom/adresse, les transferts de fichiers, les demandes d'assistance My UL, les estimations FUS, les retraits de fichiers/volumes, les réactivations, les listes alternatives, l'assistance Product iQ, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engages with customers via telephone or electronic inquiries to address inquiries and admin-related activities.
  • Coordinates pre- and post-sale actions to ensure customers are meeting TIC certification requirements and product or service adoption timelines.
  • Works independently mostly and may need limited supervision only on complex new assignments - to develop and share quotes using standardized pricing tools.
  • Client follow-up and aid in turning quotes into orders. Process quotes into Orders using ERP.
  • Support account managers & SE/ISEs by performing included but not limited to admin-related tasks.
  • Acts as an informal resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience
  • Connects customer to appropriate UL personnel (Account Manager, SEs/ISEs, delivery teams and engineers, etc.) when appropriate.
  • Track account history and supply data from internal sources as requested by account owners and representatives to facilitate deeper knowledge of account and account opportunities.
  • Collaborates with internal resources to resolve customer inquiries and ensure that the customer receives the proper message to ensure complete understanding and results requested.
  • Completes a variety of atypical assignments of high complexity.
  • Based on the relationship and deep understanding of the customer and needs, provides input to account manager or SE/ISE to inform sales strategy where applicable
  • Build an internal UL problem-solving network and proactively engage internal personnel to anticipate problems, improve delivery, and develop solutions that improve ULS' customer experience.
  • Meet established timelines for pre-and post-sales activities.
  • Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software
  • Business acumen and a sufficient understanding of business sales processes
  • Strong communication and administrative skills
  • Ability to work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires a variety of factors, including understanding the sales process
  • Requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to senior level management and customers
  • Extensive knowledge of company policies and sales process.

Total Rewards:
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated annual compensation for this position is $60,000 - $72,000 which includes a base salary of $50,000. - $60,000. and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 20% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
