This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.

Please note that this position is a one-year contract.

Your role

As Sales Officer, Operation, you will coordinate activities required to schedule commercials in accordance with standards, policies and contractual agreements.

This role offers the possibility of hybrid work, with a requirement of being in the office twice a month. The specific work schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager in accordance with the guidelines defined by the department.

Your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • You develop the commercial traffic schedule and ensure the on-air scheduling of advertising material. More specifically, you determine the order of commercial presentation based on rotation requirements, competitive product rules, exclusivity agreements, sponsorship parameters and Advertising Standards restrictions.

  • You obtain, from clients and agencies, instructions and materials required for commercial scheduling and broadcast, and distribute them to the relevant people.

  • You resolve issues encountered to address client requests and optimize the performance of their media placement.

  • You review programming changes to reorganize the schedule based on what commercial periods need to be maintained or moved.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Community college diploma.

  • Two (2) or more years’ relevant experience.

  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.

  • Knowledge of OnAir or other traffic systems is an asset.

  • Good knowledge of English is an asset.

  • Thoroughness and accuracy.

  • Client focus.

  • English is an asset.

  • Organization and prioritization skills.

  • Interpersonal skills.

Selected candidates will be tested as follows:

  • Interview.

  • Theory test.

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
