Job Summary

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified business opportunities across the UK and European markets initially, with the opportunity to expand into additional geographies.
Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research target accounts across the UK and Europe
  • Prospect senior technology and business decision-makers, including CTOs, CIOs, IT Directors and Heads of Data
  • Use cold calling, LinkedIn, email and multi-channel outreach to engage prospects
  • Understand prospect business and technology challenges and identify potential opportunities
  • Qualify prospects based on business need, solution fit, authority, timing and project requirements
  • Generate meetings and qualified opportunities for the sales team
  • Build and maintain a healthy prospect pipeline
  • Personally source and document qualified opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage follow-ups consistently
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and technical teams to ensure qualified opportunities are effectively handed over
  • Track outbound activity, meetings, opportunities and conversion performance against targets
  • Continuously research new industries, accounts and technology trends to improve prospecting effectiveness

Requirements
  • 2–3+ years of B2B technology sales development, lead generation or business-development experience
  • Previous experience working for an IT consultancy, software-development agency, MSP, systems integrator, cloud/data provider or technology-services company
  • Demonstrable experience personally sourcing and qualifying business opportunities
  • Experience with outbound prospecting into the US market
  • Strong experience using telephone, LinkedIn and email for outbound prospecting
  • Ability to confidently engage CTOs, CIOs, IT Directors, Heads of Data, Heads of Engineering and senior business leaders
  • Understanding of consultative and project-based technology sales

Experience generating opportunities for at least one relevant technology-services area:

    • Custom software development / product engineering
    • Azure / Microsoft Fabric / Power Platform / Microsoft 365
    • Data engineering / analytics / BI
    • AI / automation / digital transformation
    • Cloud migration / DevOps / managed services
    • IT outsourcing / dedicated development teams / staff augmentation
    • MSP / systems integration / technology consulting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to research accounts, identify business pain points and qualify opportunities effectively
  • Strong CRM and pipeline-management discipline
  • Self-motivated, persistent and target-driven approach
