Queen's is planning to host its first signature VEX U robotics competitions in 2027, as an expansion of the competition we have hosted for the past 3 years. Many teams from universities across North America may attend the event. We also plan to host a similar competition for the VEX High-school level competition, which can see upwards of 80 teams in attendance.
About the positionWe are seeking two passionate and highly organized individuals to assist in planning and running a large robotics competition. The ideal candidate should possess strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills, and have a keen interest in event planning and a passion for competition.
Please note you do not need to have any VEX experience to apply for this position, we are looking for passionate and hard-working individuals to help run this event.
Logistics responsibilities are:- Overseeing all event operations
- Reserving venues, hotels, etc.
- Negotiating with vendors/suppliers
- Overseeing ongoing event
- Be an overall support to other QRC members
