The Project Manager will lead the Digital Shared Services initiative for Shared Health to modernize healthcare delivery through improved information and communication technology across Manitoba. This full-time, on-site role requires a certified professional with both PMP and PRINCE2 credentials to manage project plans, budgets, and steering committee reporting for an initial term from July 2, 2026, to March 31, 2027. The successful candidate must possess extensive experience in healthcare environments, specifically managing infrastructure upgrades, legacy system decommissioning, and multi-year IT transformations involving vendor management. Technical responsibilities include implementing IntelliSpace Cardiovascular (ISCV) software, electronic patient care records in rural areas, and ensuring compliance with NIST security frameworks and the Personal Health Information Act.


Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: Candidates must possess and provide proof of both a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certification. 
  • Core Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management is required, including at least four years specifically within a healthcare environment. 
  • Technical Systems Experience: At least 2 years of experience implementing IntelliSpace Cardiovascular (ISCV) system software in a healthcare setting is required. 
  • Infrastructure & Legacy Systems: 5 years of experience managing infrastructure upgrades and system management involving legacy replacement and decommissioning scope. 
  • Program Leadership: 3 years of experience planning and leading multi-year organizational IT transformation programs and managing multiple vendors. 
  • Security Standards: 1 year of experience with information security services focusing on NIST, CIS, or PCI frameworks. 
  • Rural Healthcare Implementation: 1 year of experience implementing electronic patient care record systems in rural areas, including managing vendors and scoring RFPs. 
  • Additional Preferred Certifications: Points are awarded for holding a valid Management of Risk certification and a Prosci Change Management certification. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: The resource must be prepared to handle Personal Health Information (PHI) and comply with The Personal Health Information Act (Manitoba).
