This Position reports to:

Senior Engineering Manager
 

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role is contributing to the Metal & Power Conversion business in North America, and will be based in Montreal, Canada
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Ensuring HSE requirements are followed and fostering a culture of safety and collaboration within the project team.
  • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

Qualifications for the role

  • You bring 8-10 years of project management experience in electrical applications ( design, material sourcing, and construction )
  • You are highly skilled in project management tools and financial acumen (Scheduling, Revenue Forecast, Cash Flow, Risk and Opportunities)
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of Medium voltage equipment (Switchgear, Transformer, Rectifier) and experience working with local and international stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Degree in Master of Engineering preferably electrical and hold a valid PMP certificate.
  • You are at ease communicating in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. 
  • You are able to travel to our customers site occasionally in Canada and USA (10-15%).
