Reporting to the Engineering Manager and under general supervision, as our Project Engineer (m/f/i) - Power Distribution Certification , you will work in an international team and you will autonomously manage the execution of projects within Electrical Distribution Segment to ensure that the certification projects are delivered on time and with the best quality and experience for our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages certification projects for devices in Electrical Distribution segment (e.g., Switches, Transformers, Power Distribution Panels, Medium Voltage Distribution Devices and Assemblies etc.).
- Determines project specifications such as: scope, cost, time, sample requirements, technical documentation etc., by analyzing client input, available data and product construction.
- Preparing datasheets and instructions, scheduling and reviewing work of Laboratory Technicians and establishing completion dates.
- Communicates with clients to discuss technical issues, completion date etc., and explains UL procedures and requirements. Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.
- Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product evaluations, inspection, plans review and follow-up services
- Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.
- Develops test requirements for products beyond the scope of existing standards, or those involving unique features requiring frequent use of independent judgment.
- Determines areas in which the product may not be in compliance with the applicable Standard based requirements.
- Plans, conducts and supervises code and regulatory related projects of major magnitude and scope.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, preferred. Master degree or bachelor degree of electrical engineering to be evaluate accordingly experiences.
- Around 3 years of related work experience, preferably as an Electrical Engineer with knowledge about Industrial products segments.
- Knowledgeable about electrical industrial products and passionate about energy distribution, testing of power products and seeing new technologies as a motivating challenge.
- Experienced with the utilization of Electrical Test Equipment. Experience with Testing and Certification services would be a strong asset.
- Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the field evaluation business.
- Strong written and verbal English language skills.
- Excellent communication skills and strong client focus.
- Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise.
