ABOUT US

Localcoin, founded in 2017 with headquarters in Toronto, is on a mission to simplify the process and experience of buying or selling digital currencies globally. We envision bringing digital currency to the mainstream financial market through partnerships with leading corporate and franchised retail spaces. With terminals across Canada and the APAC region, including Australia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand, Localcoin is now the fastest growing Bitcoin ATM operator in the world.

At its core, Localcoin believes that everyone should be able to own cryptocurrency and have a deep understanding of blockchain technology. As a member of our rapidly growing team, you'll join a talented, dynamic group of team members who will encourage you to learn, grow, and thrive in your career every step of the way.

If you're a self-starter looking to hone your skills in a startup environment that fosters innovation, transparency, and team connectivity, we look forward to hearing from you!

THE ROLE

As our first dedicated Product Analyst, you’ll be the insight engine behind product strategy, compliance initiatives, and market expansion. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, Growth, and Operations, you’ll transform raw data (Snowflake, transaction logs, marketing funnels) into clear narratives and actionable recommendations that shape our Bitcoin ATM network and supporting services.

This position will be based out of our office in Etobicoke, ON, and will have a hybrid work schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Own product metrics – Define, instrument, and maintain KPIs across ATM hardware, web onboarding flows, and backend services.
  • Deep-dive analyses – Investigate usage patterns (e.g., churn, tier upgrades, funnel drop-offs) and surface root causes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Self-serve dashboards – Build and maintain BI dashboards so stakeholders can answer most questions without a SQL tap on the shoulder.
  • Experimentation & A/B testing – Design, run, and analyze experiments (KYC flow tweaks, fee changes, UI variants) and present statistically sound insights.
  • Compliance & risk insights – Quantify risk exposure (EDD, travel-rule, suspicious activity) and help automate alerts without compromising user experience.
  • Storytelling for executives – Turn complex findings into concise slides, memos, and live walkthroughs that influence roadmap and investment decisions.
  • Data stewardship – Champion data quality, naming conventions, and documentation; collaborate with Engineering on ETL/dbt models and source-of-truth tables.
  • Enablement & training – Coach product managers, analysts, and business users on analytic best practices and dashboard usage.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years in Product, Data, or Business Analysis at fintech, crypto, payments, or other regulated financial-services companies.
  • Fluent in SQL and comfortable with Python for advanced analysis and automation.
  • Hands-on with at least one modern BI/analytics platform (Looker, Hex, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, etc.).
  • Proven track record defining metrics, building dashboards, and driving data-informed product decisions.
  • Ability to work with messy, unstructured data: quickly ship insights, then iterate toward robust models.
  • Strong communicator who can translate p-values into product priorities for non-data audiences.

NICE TO HAVES

  • KYC/AML or other compliance workflows
  • Blockchain analytics or crypto transaction monitoring
  • Snowflake + dbt pipelines
  • Hardware-based fintech products (ATMs, POS devices)

WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT US

  • Competitive Salary & Benefits – We value and reward our team members.
  • Hybrid Work Environment – Enjoy flexibility while being part of a dynamic team.
  • Professional Development – Opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Team Culture & Events – Regular socials, team meetings, and collaborative workspaces.
  • Impactful Work – Play a key role in a growing company and make a real difference.

Localcoin is committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills. The more inclusive and diverse we are, the more our work will improve. If you're determined and great at what you do, come as you are.

If you require accommodation at any stage throughout the recruitment process, please notify your talent team or send an email to [email protected]

Please note: At this time, we are not seeking assistance from external recruiters or agencies
