This Position reports to:

Quality Manager
 

Reporting to the Quality Director, the Industrial Engineer is responsible for documenting, standardizing, and optimizing all of the company’s operational processes. They develop internal procedures, process flows, and flow charts required to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance of operations. They work in collaboration with production, quality, engineering, and management teams to support continuous improvement and organizational performance.


Your Role: Own the Challenge 

 

In a team‑oriented and collaborative work approach, and without limiting additional tasks that may be assigned to meet organizational and operational department objectives, the employee will be responsible for the following:


Tasks and Responsibilities

 

1. Creation and updating of internal procedures

·       Develop, structure, and write internal procedures (SOP – Standard Operating Procedures) for all operational processes.

·       Ensure that all procedures accurately reflect actual operations and comply with regulatory and internal requirements.

2. Design of process flows and flow charts

·       Map all operational processes of the company (production, quality, supply chain, engineering, etc.).

·       Create clear, standardized diagrams that comply with best practices.

·       Identify critical points, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities through flow analysis.

·       Maintain a centralized and up‑to‑date library of all flow diagrams and organizational charts.

3. Cross‑functional collaboration

·       Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and others to document processes accurately and realistically.


What it takes to run what runs the world 

 

·       Bachelor’s student in Industrial Engineering or a related field (Mechanical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, Operations Management).

·       Must have completed at least the second year of the program (ideally).

·       French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. 

·       Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methods.

·       Proficiency with diagram‑creation software.

·       Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

·       Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and documentation rigor.

·       Strong communication skills with various levels of the organization.

·       Motivated by standardization and optimization challenges.

·       Good observation skills and analytical mindset.

·       Ability to ask the right questions and collaborate with operators, supervisors, and engineers.

·       Autonomy, curiosity, rigor, and strong organizational skills.


Expected Deliverables

·       Complete and up‑to‑date set of internal procedures for all critical processes.

·       Detailed process flows for each operational department.

·       Standardized flow charts by process type.

·       Improvement analysis reports and proposals for operational gains.

·       Passion for efficiency, structure, and problem‑solving.
