We're seeking someone to join our team as a Privacy Compliance Analyst to support all Business Lines and Functions across Morgan Stanley and promote fair, transparent, and lawful practices related to the processing of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The successful applicant will work within Privacy NFR and focus on assisting with the management of the privacy program, which could include risks and controls assessments, monitoring and testing, training, assisting with policies and procedures, and governance activities for key meetings.
In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Director level position within the Legal and Compliance Department who is charged with day-to-day analysis of the Firm's compliance with core regulatory requirements.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Ensuring adherence to compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks; including assistance with DPO metrics and reports

  • Experience with conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) related to various technologies and systems

  • Ability to provide advice and guidance for Privacy Business Unit/Regional Control Functional Leads

  • Ability to assist on implementation of applicable international Privacy regulations, state and federal laws, and industry standard procedures and controls to the applicable business units via conducting gap analysis and implementation of controls

What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience with ability to demonstrate Privacy experience of minimum 1 year in a related role

  • Understanding of Privacy Compliance laws (CCPA, Reg P, GDPR, GLBA/FCRA among others), rules, regulations, risks, and appropriate controls

  • Additionally, experience with privacy related technology considerations such as cookies, mobile devices, biometric and geolocation data is desired

  • Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams/individuals at all levels

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, proactive work ethic and team player mindset

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
