This position will be located at our Becancour Hydrogen Plant
We are looking for a newly graduated Engineer or a CPI
Job Summary: The plant engineer is responsible for daily operations, troubleshooting, change management (MOC), environmental reporting, project execution and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety, Environment and Regulatory Compliance:
Support and adhere to all security management practices for processes and the risk management plan (Important Security Elements, risk analyses, MOC, etc.)
Leader in work permit and site lockout programs
Maintain up-to-date plant risk analysis and demonstrate a thorough understanding of potential hazards and associated protective measures.
Production, maintenance and reliability:
Perform process troubleshooting.
Leads the development and implementation of process changes at the plant.
Recommend and implement plant projects, as needed, to improve plant HSE, reliability and efficiency.
Track and report the plant's performance indicators.
Ensure that the group's guidelines are understood and followed by the plant staff.
Ensure that operational procedures are followed and updated as needed.
Coordination of requests and work orders at the factory.
Budget:
Understand, monitor and optimize operating costs.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities within the framework of the delegated authority.
Leadership:
Working towards our goal of "Zero Accidents" by assuming a leadership role.
Assist in employee training.
Provide a frank and constructive contribution to management decisions and to actively support those decisions.

___________________Are you a MATCH?Required Qualifications
CPI or engineer in the following fields: Mechanical, electrical or chemical.
Entry-level plant position: 1-3 years of experience
Communication and team leadership skills
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (process safety management, national and local regulations)
Familiarity with MS Office, Google Apps, Maximo® and Oracle.
Organized and efficient in time management
Demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills for the operation and troubleshooting of equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Technical and practical understanding of the processes involved in hydrogen, syngas, or ASU plants is an asset
Ability to travel (1-2 times per year)
Will share on-call weeks, typically 1 week out of 3.
