Vous serez également responsable de la vérification de la facturation, du traitement des factures dans SAP et du suivi des paiements effectués.
 

This position is integral to the unit with responsibilities focused on payroll but includes other responsibilities in payroll and billing.  Working with the Controller and Senior HR Manager, you will be the principal force processing payments and benefits and ensure payroll operations is compliant with federal and provincial policies as well as the collective bargaining agreement. Other responsibilities will include auditing billing as well as processing invoices in SAP and tracking that payments are made.

Fonctions et responsabilités essentielles / Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assurer le traitement rapide et précis de la paie bimensuelle des employés syndiqués dans Kronos
  • Assurer et maintenir la conformité à la convention collective et à la réglementation gouvernementale
  • Répondre rapidement aux demandes de renseignements sur la paie
  • Préparer les demandes de paiement de l'ARC, des cotisations syndicales et des régimes de retraite, et assurer la sauvegarde pour le siège social
  • Assurer le respect des politiques de congés payés et le suivi des congés payés accumulés/pris par tous les employés
  • Assurer le traitement adéquat des données des fournisseurs d'avantages sociaux
  • Saisir et mettre à jour les dossiers principaux des employés, notamment les changements de taux, les cessations d'emploi, les paiements rétroactifs et les nouvelles embauches
  • Contribuer à l'élaboration de politiques, de procédures et de contrôles internes pour assurer la conformité aux conventions collectives et aux lois fédérales et provincials
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of biweekly payroll for union employees in Kronos
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with the collective bargaining agreement and government regulations
  • Respond in a timely manner to payroll inquires/requests
  • Preparing CRA/pension/union dues payment requisitions and backup for head office
  • Ensure adherence to vacation policies and track vacation earned/ taken for all employees
  • Ensure correct processing for benefit suppliers
  • Enter and update employee master files such as rate changes, terminations, retroactive payments, and new hires
  • Assist with the development of policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with collective agreement, federal and provincial legislation

Éducation / Education:

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires ou GED requis.
  • Diplôme d'associé en comptabilité, finance ou commerce préféré.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.

Expérience professionnelle / Work Experience:

• 2 à 3 ans d’expérience en paie dans un environnement syndiqué

• Une expérience avec Ultimate Software (Workday) et Kronos est préférable.

  • 2 to 3 years of payroll experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience with Ultimate Software (Workday) and Kronos is preferred.

  • Knowledge of employee tax setup based on live/work jurisdictions.
  • Must be proficient with spreadsheets and database query skills.
  • Experience with SAP is an asset.
  • Experience with Kronos is an asset  
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Detail-oriented.

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification or is a PCP candidate working towards certification from the Canadian Payroll Association
