The Securities & Derivatives Analyst is an intermediate level position with the OTC Middle Office team, responsible for the Trade Capture, Confirmation, Settlement, Reconciliation and Valuation of OTC trades.
Responsibilities:

  • Process OTC Derivative trades through the various Middle Office systems, ensuring trades are captured accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Ensure timey confirmation of trade economics with Counterparties.
  • Ensure timely settlement of OTC Trades cash and identify and resolve an issues that arise.
  • Complete daily reconciliations and ensure any reconciliation breaks are resolved.
  • Complete daily Valuation of OTC positions, ensuring that valuations are accurate, reviewing any valuation queries or tolerance breaks.
  • Provides assistance in the implementation of process improvement.
  • Timely management and escalation of all requests inquiries issues errors, (mostly, but not limited to, post settlement)
  • Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams
  • Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in a Middle Office or OTC Derivatives roles.
  • An understanding of OTC Derivative products.
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good analytical skills and positive attitude

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$50,600.00 - $70,600.00
