The Operations Analyst will focus on managing derivative trade processes, performing reconciliations, and ensuring integrity in trading workflows, especially within equity options and listed products.
Position Overview:
Primary focus will be on Options Middle Office who are responsible for derivative trade capture, trade confirmations, settlements, reconciliations and position life-cycle events within the firm. This person must have experience covering all aspects of equity options. This role will also have exposure to equities, futures, FX and other listed products.
- Manage all aspects of Option exercises and assignments, contras, affirmation, settlement and reconciliation.
- Validate, process and settle all life cycle events to ensure the integrity of the trade and positions.
- Perform position and cash reconciliations.
- Perform trade affirmation in Traiana and NYFIX with counterparties to minimize risk.
- Monitoring T+0 trade capture exceptions in Traiana and internally.
- Processing option assignments, expiries and contras.
- Assist with new product and new fund launches.
- Build scalable workflows and processes with automation in mind.
- Come up with projects to increase efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-10 years OTC Middle/Back-office experience covering trade processing, collateral, confirmations, settlements, cash, position and trade reconciliations.
- Demonstrate/develop proficiency in all types of Listed products including Options, Equities, Corporate Actions, FX, and futures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all calculations used to support any products in your asset class coverage.
- Strong Excel and Power BI / VBA / Python is a plus.
- Understand the importance of our team concept. Establish long-lasting organizational relationships that will foster a productive work environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication skills.
- Working on system and process improvements, and new business initiatives.
- Understand the relevant technology and applications that are required to excel in the role.
- Excel, Traina, and Bloomberg are some of the critical applications used daily.
