Develops cloud applications and solutions through design, coding, testing, integration, and quality review. Collaborates with software engineers, development partners, QA, and remote teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective systems. Requires Java, Kafka or equivalent, Docker, Kubernetes, NoSQL persistence technologies, software engineering fundamentals, source-control and development tools, Agile methodology, and DevOps knowledge. The role is hybrid, requiring work from HPE’s Montreal office at least two days per week.

Owns gameplay features from concept through polish, designing and implementing scalable systems, mechanics, and interactive experiences in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprint. Responsibilities include rapid prototyping, systemic and open-world gameplay, performance optimization, playtesting, telemetry-driven iteration, cross-functional collaboration, technical documentation, risk identification, and mentoring other designers.

Leads UX and UI design for player-focused game interfaces, creating wireframes, user flows, visual direction, style guides, and interactive layouts in Figma. Collaborates with designers, engineers, and artists to support gameplay and narrative goals while prioritizing usability, accessibility, and responsiveness. Helps establish scalable UI systems, mentors designers, and simplifies complex concepts into intuitive experiences. Preferred experience includes Unreal Engine, UI animation, localization, user research, and shipping interfaces on PC and console platforms.
