Make an impact at Ciena as a Test Engineer in the New Production Introduction (NPI).  In this role, you will be responsible for defining test strategies and enabling manufacturing readiness for Ciena Platforms PortfolioYou will be also collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, scalability and manufacturing efficiency to delivery of high-quality products. 

How you will make an impact: 

  • Define and develop test strategies, test process flows, test sequences, test stations, and associated test fixtures. 

  • Provide input and guidance to product development teams on design for manufacturability (DFM), design for testability (DFT), and scalability. 

  • Create and maintain test specifications (XS) and debugging aids. 

  • Develop and validate automated test sequences. 

  • Lead efforts to resolve technical issues. 

  • Deliver training to contract manufacturer production teams on new products, processes, equipment, and tools. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the NPI process and reduce time-to-market for new products. 

The must haves: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. 

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in NPI Test Engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. 

  • Strong knowledge in mechanical, hardware (electronics), and software. 

  • Strong knowledge of software language like Python, C, C# etc 

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and quality standards. 

  • Excellent Problem-solving and analytical skills. 

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to travel. 

Nice to haves: 

  • Experience with Altium development tools. 

  • Team-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of independent work. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Pay Range: 

Pay range $91,800 - $146,600 CAD

Faire un impact chez Ciena à titre d’ingénieur(e) de test à introduction de nouveau produit (NPI) de plateformes de Ciena. Dans ce rôle, vous contribuerez à définir les stratégies de test, à l’améliorer la qualité des produits, à faciliter leur évolutivité permettant l’efficacité la production grâce à une collaboration interfonctionnelle.

  • Créer et maintenir la documentation, notamment les spécifications de test (XS) et les outils d’aide au débogage.  

  • Développer et valider des séquences de test automatisées. 

  • Diriger les efforts visant à résoudre les problèmes techniques. 

  • Offrir de la formation aux équipes de production des fabricants sous contrat sur les nouveaux processus, équipements et outils. 

  • Mener des initiatives d’amélioration continue afin d’optimiser le processus NPI et de réduire le délai de mise en marché des nouveaux produits. 

Exigences: 

  • Formation : Baccalauréat en génie électrique. 

  • Expérience : Au moins 3 ans d’expérience en ingénierie de test NPI, de préférence dans un environnement manufacturier ou de production. 

  • Bonne compréhension en mécanique, en matériel (électroniques) et en logiciel. 

  • Excellentes connaissances de langage de programmation : Python, C, C# etc… 

  • Bonne connaissance des processus de fabrication, des techniques d’assemblage et des normes de qualité. 

  • Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et en analyse. 

  • Excellentes habiletés de communication et de collaboration 

  • Vouloir à voyager. 

Atouts : 

  • Expérience avec les outils de développement Altium. 

  • Esprit d’équipe, sens de l’organisation, motivation personnelle et capacité à travailler de façon autonome. 

  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement dynamique et en évolution rapide. 

Échelle salariale : 

 $91,800 - $146,600 CAD
