A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistics
Responsibilities
- AN/WAN Network Management: Administer and monitor network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.), ensuring proper configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Monitoring and Security: Implement network monitoring tools to detect malfunctions or intrusions, manage backups and security updates, and ensure compliance with IT security policies.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to users for network-related issues (connection, performance, access to network services) and quickly resolve network incidents.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze network performance, identify congestion points, and recommend improvements or equipment upgrades.
- Technical Documentation Management: Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, protocols, access controls, equipment settings, and network diagrams.
- Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with development, support, and security teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and online services.
- Technology Watch: Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in network management and cybersecurity to anticipate necessary evolutions.
Qualifications
Hard Skills:
- Experience in setting up and optimizing network infrastructure.
- Proficiency in configuring routers, switches, and APs in an SD-WAN Meraki environment.
- Expertise in network protocols and OSI layers.
- Strong knowledge of wireless technologies (LTE, Wi-Fi 5, 6, 6E, RF).
- Proficiency in configuring firewalls (Secure Connect, Umbrella, or others).
- Experience with network equipment setup and configuration (Ekahau and Meraki).
- Knowledge of Python or other programming languages is a plus.
- Ability to create technical documentation and provide support.
- Incident, request, and problem ticket management.
- Familiarity with Meraki equipment is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a Network Administrator.
- Passion for technology monitoring and innovation.
- Autonomous and proactive.
- Strong communication and teaching skills.
- Team player, motivated, and solution-oriented.
- Ability to travel regularly within Canada and internationally.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
