A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistics
Responsibilities
- LAN/WAN management: Administer and supervise network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.), ensuring their configuration, maintenance and evolution.
- Monitoring and security: Implement network monitoring tools to detect malfunctions or intrusions, manage backups and security updates, and ensure compliance with IT security policies.
- Support and troubleshooting: Provide technical support to users concerning network problems (connection, performance, access to network services) and quickly resolve network incidents.
- Performance optimization: Analyze network performance, identify congestion points, and recommend improvement solutions or equipment upgrades.
- Technical documentation management: Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, protocols, accesses, equipment configurations and network diagrams.
- Collaboration with IT teams: Work closely with development, support and security teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and online services.
- Technology watch: Keep abreast of new technologies and best practices in network management and cybersecurity to anticipate necessary developments.
Qualifications
Hard Skill
- Experience in setting up and optimizing network infrastructures
- Expertise in configuring routers, switches and APs in an SD-WAN (NaaS) environment
- Expertise and mastery of network protocols and different OSI layers
- In-depth knowledge of wireless technologies (LTE, Wifi 5, 6, 6E, RF)
- Expertise in setting up and configuring firewalls (Palo Alto, check point, Umbrella or others)
- Expertise in setting up and configuring network equipment
- Proficiency in setting up and configuring VPNs
- Knowledge of Python or other code is a plus
- Creation of technical documentation, support
- Management of incident, request and problem tickets
- Knowledge of Meraki equipment is a plus
Soft Skill
- Bachelor's degree in computer science,
- 3 years' professional experience as a network administrator
- Passionate about IT intelligence
- Self-starter
- Team player
- Motivated
- Strong in proposing solutions
- Proactive and reactive
- Excellent communication skills
- Resourceful and open-minded
- Ability to travel regularly within Canada and internationally
- Driver's license required
